Preventative Health

Annual, or even better, twice-a-year examinations help veterinarians prevent health threatening problems from developing.  At a preventative check up our staff will look for signs of:
  • Diabetes
  • Heartworm Disease
  • Dental Disease
  • Ear Problems
  • Fleas and Ticks
  • Internal Parasites

Through these routine regular checkups, our staff is able to evaluate your pet’s needs and plan an appropriate vaccination regimen. Making sure you bring your pet in for a routine schedule of physical examinations and vaccinations provide your pet with the best possible resistance to common diseases.

New Puppy or Kitten?

Did you know that puppies need 4 vaccines 4 weeks apart?  Kittens need 3 vaccines 4 weeks apart.  These vaccinations start at 8 weeks of age.  Prevention of infectious diseases is one of the most important steps you can take to help keep your pet free of disease. Our Doctors will be able to discuss with you the right vaccination and preventive health program, depending upon your pet's exposure and risk factors.
